16 U.S.C. § 8209 — Accountability and reporting

(a) In general. Not later than five years after October 30, 2020, and every five years after that, the Board must send the appropriate congressional committees a report on this chapter's progress. (b) Contents. Each report must include (1) an estimate of the acres, stream miles, acre-feet, or other measures of fish habitat that Partnerships maintained or improved over the past five years; (2) a description of the public access to fish habitats created or improved over that period; (3) a description of the improved public recreational fishing opportunities achieved; (4) a description of the current state of U.S. fish habitats, as identified by Partnerships; and (5) an assessment, broken down by year, of the fish habitat projects funded during that period, including (A) a description of the projects the Board recommended under section 8205(b), (B) a description of each project the Secretary approved under section 8205(f), in funding priority order, (C) the reasons for approving each project and for its funding priority, (D) the reasons for rejecting any Board-recommended project for a reason other than the criteria in section 8205(c), and (E) an accounting of money spent by federal, state, or local governments, Indian Tribes, or other groups to carry out these projects.
