A person who flees an immigration or other Federal checkpoint in a motor vehicle and exceeds the legal speed limit while fleeing law enforcement may be fined, imprisoned for up to five years, or both.
Whoever flees or evades a checkpoint operated by the Immigration and Naturalization Service or another Federal law-enforcement agency* in a motor vehicle, and flees Federal, State, or local law-enforcement agents faster than the legal speed limit, may be fined under this title, imprisoned for not more than five years, or both.
Whoever flees or evades a checkpoint operated by the Immigration and Naturalization Service, or any other Federal law enforcement agency*, in a motor vehicle and flees Federal, State, or local law enforcement agents in excess of the legal speed limit shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
