This section authorizes the Secretary of the Army, through the Chief of Engineers, to review completed Corps projects when physical or economic conditions have significantly changed. The Chief may report to Congress on modifying the projects or their operation and improving the environment in the public interest.
The Secretary of the Army, acting through the Chief of Engineers, may review how completed Corps of Engineers projects operate when significantly changed physical or economic conditions make a review advisable. The projects must have been built for navigation, flood control, water supply, or related purposes. The Chief may report to Congress with recommendations about whether to modify the structures or their operation and how to improve environmental quality in the overall public interest.
The Secretary of the Army, acting through the Chief of Engineers, is authorized to review the operation of projects the construction of which has been completed and which were constructed by the Corps of Engineers in the interest of navigation, flood control, water supply, and related purposes, when found advisable due 1 the significantly changed physical or economic conditions, and to report thereon to Congress with recommendations on the advisability of modifying the structures or their operation, and for improving the quality of the environment in the overall public interest.
