Every jurisdiction must maintain its own sex offender registry that meets federal standards. The Attorney General issues guidelines to interpret and implement the whole subchapter.
(a) Jurisdiction* to maintain a registry. Every jurisdiction must maintain a jurisdiction-wide sex offender registry*. The registry must meet the requirements of this subchapter.
(b) Guidelines and regulations. The Attorney General must issue guidelines and regulations to interpret and put this subchapter into practice.
Each jurisdiction shall maintain a jurisdiction-wide sex offender registry* conforming to the requirements of this subchapter.
The Attorney General shall issue guidelines and regulations to interpret and implement this subchapter.
