52 U.S.C. § 20305 — Federal Voting Assistance Program Improvements

(a) Duties. The Presidential designee must: (1) build online information portals that tell absent uniformed services voters how to register to vote and how to use absentee ballot procedures for federal elections; and (2) set up a program that uses the military's Global Network to notify these voters about voter registration information, the Federal postcard application, and the Federal write-in absentee ballot — sending these notices 90, 60, and 30 days before each federal election. (b) No conflict with other duties. Nothing here removes the designee's other duties under Department of Defense rules, including Department of Defense Directive 1000.04 or any directive that replaces it, as long as those rules don't conflict with this section. (c) Funding. Congress authorizes whatever money is necessary for the Department of Defense's Federal Voting Assistance Program (or whatever program replaces it) to carry out this section.
