7 U.S.C. § 2219a — Overtime and holiday pay

(a) In general. The Secretary of Agriculture may— (1) pay Department of Agriculture employees who work at an establishment subject to the Federal Meat Inspection Act (21 U.S.C. 601 et seq.) or the Poultry Products Inspection Act (21 U.S.C. 451 et seq.) for all overtime and holiday work they perform at the establishment. The Secretary sets the rates, subject to applicable law about minimum wages and maximum hours; and (2) accept reimbursement from the establishment for any amounts the Secretary paid for that overtime and holiday work, at the rates set under paragraph (1). (b) Availability. Money the Secretary receives under this section remains available until spent. It does not need another appropriation and is not limited to a fiscal year. The money may be used to carry out subsection (a).
