Except as this chapter otherwise says, nothing in it stops enforcement of, or changes, several named antitrust and trade laws (including the Sherman Act, the Clayton Act, the Interstate Commerce Act, and certain export-trade and tax-revenue laws), and nothing in it interferes with any investigation, proceeding, or prosecution already underway on August 15, 1921.

Nothing in this chapter, unless the chapter itself says otherwise, should be read to: (a) Stop or interfere with enforcing, or the legal process under, several named laws - the 1890 law protecting trade and commerce against unlawful restraints and monopolies (the Sherman Act), the 1914 law supplementing laws against unlawful restraints and monopolies (the Clayton Act), the Interstate Commerce Act as amended, the 1918 law to promote export trade, or certain sections of an 1894 tax-and-revenue law as later amended in 1913; or (b) Change, modify, or repeal any of those laws or any part of them; or (c) Stop or interfere with any investigation, proceeding, or prosecution that had already begun and was still pending on August 15, 1921.
