7 U.S.C. § 8731 — Availability of nonrecourse marketing assistance loans for loan commodities

(a) Nonrecourse loans available. (1) Availability. For each of the 2008 through 2012 crops of every loan commodity, the Secretary must make nonrecourse marketing assistance loans available to farm producers. (2) Terms and conditions. These loans are made on terms the Secretary sets, at the loan rate set under section 8732 for that commodity. (b) Eligible production. Producers on a farm can get a marketing assistance loan under subsection (a) for any amount of a loan commodity produced on that farm. (c) Compliance with conservation and wetlands requirements. To receive a marketing assistance loan under subsection (a), the producer must follow the conservation rules in subtitle B of title XII of the Food Security Act of 1985 (16 U.S.C. 3811 and following) and the wetland protection rules in subtitle C of that title (16 U.S.C. 3821 and following), for as long as the loan lasts.
