14 U.S.C. § 3731 — Definitions

This section defines two terms used in this subchapter.
As used here: (1) “Reserve officer” means a commissioned Reserve officer, except one excluded by title 14 section 3732 or a commissioned warrant officer. This section does not define those other terms. (2) “Discharged” means released from a Reserve-officer appointment.
As used in this subchapter—
“Reserve officer” means a commissioned officer in the Reserve, except an officer excluded by section 3732 of this title or a commissioned warrant officer; and
“discharged” means released from an appointment as a Reserve officer.
