Breaking this chapter, or its required rules, counts as an unfair or deceptive trade practice. The Federal Trade Commission enforces this chapter with the same powers it has under the FTC Act.
(a) In general: If someone violates this chapter, or violates the rules required under section 7607, that counts as violating a Federal Trade Commission Act rule (section 18, at 15 U.S.C. 57a) about unfair or deceptive acts or practices.
(b) Actions by the Commission: The FTC enforces this chapter the same way it enforces the FTC Act itself — using the same methods, jurisdiction, powers, and duties. It works as if every applicable part of the Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. 41 and following) were written directly into this chapter.
Any violation of this chapter or the rules required under section 7607 of this title shall be treated as a violation of a rule under section 18 of the Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. 57a) regarding unfair or deceptive acts or practices.
The Federal Trade Commission shall enforce this chapter in the same manner, by the same means, and with the same jurisdiction, powers, and duties as though all applicable terms and provisions of the Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. 41 et seq.) were incorporated into and made a part of this chapter.
