This law lets the industry set up a research, education, and promotion program for concrete masonry products. The goal is to strengthen and grow the domestic market for these products in construction. It cannot be used to control production or limit anyone's right to manufacture concrete masonry products.
(a) Purpose — This chapter lets an orderly program be set up — funded, financed, and carried out — for continuous, coordinated research*, education*, and promotion*, including marketing and market research, designed to: (1) strengthen the concrete masonry products industry's position in the domestic market; (2) maintain, develop, and expand domestic markets and uses for concrete masonry products; and (3) promote using concrete masonry products in construction and building.
(b) Limitation — Nothing in this chapter can be read to control production, or to limit anyone's right to manufacture concrete masonry products.
The purpose of this chapter is to authorize the establishment of an orderly program for developing, financing, and carrying out an effective, continuous, and coordinated program of research*, education*, and promotion*, including funds for marketing and market research activities, that is designed to—
strengthen the position of the concrete masonry products industry in the domestic marketplace;
maintain, develop, and expand markets and uses for concrete masonry products in the domestic marketplace; and
promote the use of concrete masonry products in construction and building.
Nothing in this chapter may be construed to provide for the control of production or otherwise limit the right of any person* to manufacture concrete masonry products.
