16 U.S.C. § 108 — Other laws extended to added lands

Older laws about Mount Rainier National Park now also cover the land added by section 107. This includes the 1899, 1916, and National Park Service creation acts, plus their amendments. One exception: the Federal Power Act still doesn't apply to that added land.
This section extends several older laws to cover the land added to Mount Rainier National Park under section 107. These laws now apply to that added land: the Act of March 2, 1899, which set aside land in Washington (then called the "Pacific Forest Reserve") as Mount Rainier National Park; the Act of June 10, 1916, in which Washington State gave up exclusive jurisdiction over the park's land to the United States; the Act of August 25, 1916, which created the National Park Service; and every act that supplements or amends those three acts. There is one carve-out: the Federal Power Act (16 U.S.C. 791a and following) does not apply to, or extend over, this added land.
The provisions of the Act of March 2, 1899, entitled, “An Act to set aside a portion of certain lands in the State of Washington, now known as the ‘Pacific Forest Reserve,’ as a public park, to be known as the ‘Mount Rainier National Park,’ ” the Act of June 10, 1916, entitled “An Act to accept the cession by the State of Washington of exclusive jurisdiction over the lands embraced within the Mount Rainier National Park, and for other purposes,” the Act of August 25, 1916, entitled “An Act to establish a national park service, and for other purposes,” 1 and all Acts supplementary to and amendatory of said Acts are made applicable to and extended over the lands added to the park by section 107 of this title: Provided, That the provisions of the Federal Power Act [16 U.S.C. 791a et seq.], shall not apply to or extend over such lands.
