This law redraws part of the north and east boundary of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. It uses a detailed land survey to trace the new boundary line. Some specific parcels stay in the park, while others move into the Colorado National Forest.

This section changes part of the boundary of Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. It redraws two stretches of the boundary: the north boundary and the east boundary. North boundary: The new line starts at a point on the park's old north boundary, near the northwest corner of a specific quarter-section in township 7 north, range 74 west. From there, the description gives exact directions and distances, moving along section lines, until it returns to the old north boundary line — tracing out a new, more detailed boundary in that area. East boundary: The new line starts at a point on the park's old east boundary, at the northeast corner of section 3, township 3 north, range 73 west. The description then gives a long, step-by-step path — heading west, then north, then east, repeatedly, following section and quarter-section lines through several townships and ranges (mainly ranges 72–76 west, townships 3–7 north) — until it reaches a point on the old east boundary line, near the northwest corner of section 6, township 5 north, range 72 west. This traces out the new eastern boundary. Two important exceptions come with this boundary change: First, even though the new lines redraw the boundary, certain specific parcels of land stay part of Rocky Mountain National Park. These are listed by their exact quarter-section, section, township, and range — mostly in townships 4 and 5 north, range 73 west (including all of sections 24 and 25, and parts of sections 23, 26, 34, and 35). Second, other specific parcels are excluded from the park by this boundary change. Those parcels are transferred into the Colorado National Forest instead, and from then on they must follow all the laws and rules that apply to National Forests. These excluded parcels are also listed by their exact quarter-section, section, township, and range — including parts of section 33 (township 7 north, range 74 west), all of section 6 (township 5 north, range 72 west), part of section 34, and all of sections 3, 10, and 15 (township 4 north, range 73 west).
