This section applies two existing rules to the New River Gorge National River. Both rules already govern the Gauley River National Recreation Area. One covers cooperative agreements; the other covers land only partly inside the boundary.
(a) Cooperative agreements: The rule in section 460ww–1(e)(1) of this title, which governs cooperative agreements for the Gauley River National Recreation Area, applies in the same way to the New River Gorge National River.
(b) Remnant lands: The rule in the second sentence of section 460ww–2(a) of this title, which covers land tracts that sit only partly inside the Gauley River National Recreation Area's boundary, applies in the same way to land tracts that sit only partly inside the New River Gorge National River's boundary.
The provisions of section 460ww–1(e)(1) of this title shall apply to the New River Gorge National River 1 in the same manner and to the same extent as such provisions apply to the Gauley River National Recreation Area.
The provisions of the second sentence of section 460ww–2(a) of this title shall apply to tracts of land partially within the boundaries of the New River Gorge National River 1 in the same manner and to the same extent as such provisions apply to tracts of land only partially within the Gauley River National Recreation Area.
