16 U.S.C. § 410gggg–2 — Authorization of annual appropriations

Congress authorizes the annual appropriations necessary to carry out the suggestions and recommendations of the Secretary of the Interior for Homestead National Historical Park. This means Congress may approve funding each year, without a fixed cap, based on what the Secretary recommends is needed. The money would go toward the duties described in the previous section — laying out the land as a lasting memorial, building and maintaining a museum, preserving literature and farming implements used by early settlers, and any other purpose that helps tell the story of the homestead law's history. Like other authorization sections, this provision does not itself supply money; it simply gives Congress the legal authority to appropriate funds annually once it reviews the Secretary's recommendations.
