The Secretary of the Interior must study whether the Natchez Trace could be extended into the city of Natchez. This includes looking at donated rights-of-way. The Secretary must send this study to Congress within one year of October 7, 1988.
The Secretary of the Interior must work with the city of Natchez to study whether the Natchez Trace can be extended within the city. This study must consider whether people might donate rights-of-way — the strips of land needed for the road — to make this possible. The Secretary must send the finished study to the House Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs and the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources within one year after October 7, 1988.
The Secretary shall prepare, in consultation with the city of Natchez, a study of the feasibility of extending the Natchez Trace within the city of Natchez, including the acceptance of donations of rights-of-way. The Secretary shall transmit the study to the Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs of the United States House of Representatives and to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the United States Senate within one year after October 7, 1988.
