16 U.S.C. § 430a–2 — Acquisition of lands within revised boundary

The Secretary of the Interior may acquire land and land interests within the park's revised boundary. This can be done by buying it, accepting it as a donation (including with donated money), or trading for it — swapping federally owned land of roughly equal value that was excluded from the park under sections 430a-1 through 430a-3. Any of that excluded federal land the Secretary decides isn't needed for such trades must instead be disposed of under the general federal property-disposal rules in title 40, chapters 1 through 11, and title 41's subtitle I, division C — except for a specific list of provisions that don't apply here: sections 3302, 3307(e), 3501(b), 3509, 3906, 4710, and 4711.
