16 U.S.C. § 450y — Coronado National Memorial; establishment

To permanently honor the explorations of Francisco Vásquez de Coronado, the President may issue a proclamation declaring certain described land in Arizona to be the "Coronado National Memorial." Any valid existing rights in that land — such as prior property or mineral rights — are not wiped out by the proclamation. The land is described using the Gila and Salt River survey system, township by township: - Township 24 south, range 20 east: part of section 10 (the south half of the southwest quarter, and the south half of the southeast quarter); part of section 11 (the south half of the southwest quarter); part of section 13 (the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter, and the south half); part of section 14 (the northwest quarter, the south half, the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter, and the south half of the northeast quarter); and all of sections 15, 22, 23, and 24. - Township 24 south, range 21 east: part of section 17 (the south half of the southwest quarter); part of section 18 (the southwest quarter, and the south half of the southeast quarter); all of section 19; and lots 3 and 4 of section 20. Altogether, this adds up to about two thousand eight hundred and eighty acres.
