The Ozark National Scenic Riverways is run under the National Park Service's general 1916 law and other park-system rules. The Secretary can also use any other legal power for managing natural resources, as long as it serves this area's purpose.
The Ozark National Scenic Riverways must be administered following the National Park Service's basic 1916 organizing law, as amended, plus the other general laws that apply to areas the Secretary runs through the National Park Service.
The Secretary isn't limited to only those laws. Any other authority the Secretary already has for conserving and managing natural resources can also be used here, as long as the Secretary finds it will further this subchapter's purposes.
The Ozark National Scenic Riverways shall be administered in accordance with the provisions of the Act of August 25, 1916 (39 Stat. 535),1 as amended and supplemented, and in accordance with other laws of general application relating to the areas administered and supervised by the Secretary through the National Park Service; except that authority otherwise available to the Secretary for the conservation and management of natural resources may be utilized to the extent he finds such authority will further the purposes of this subchapter.
