This law directs the Secretary of Agriculture to designate the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area in Virginia's Jefferson National Forest, using a specific 1965 map. The Secretary must then publish the designation and boundary map in the Federal Register.

The Secretary of Agriculture (called "the Secretary") must: (1) designate, as soon as practical after May 31, 1966, the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. It sits within and next to the Jefferson National Forest in Virginia. Its boundaries match a map called "Proposed Mount Rogers National Recreation Area," dated 1965. That map is on file and open for public inspection at the Office of the Chief, Forest Service, Department of Agriculture; and (2) publish notice of the designation in the Federal Register, along with a map showing the recreation area's boundaries.
