16 U.S.C. § 460yyy–1 — Establishment of the Fort Stanton-Snowy River Cave National Conservation Area

(a) Establishment; purposes: This section creates the Fort Stanton-Snowy River Cave National Conservation Area in Lincoln County, New Mexico. Its purpose is to protect, conserve, and enhance the unique and nationally important historic, cultural, scientific, archaeological, natural, and educational underground cave resources of the Fort Stanton-Snowy River cave system. (b) Area included: The Conservation Area covers the land within the boundaries shown on a map titled "Fort Stanton-Snowy River Cave National Conservation Area," dated December 15, 2008. (c) Map and legal description: As soon as practical after March 30, 2009, the Secretary had to send Congress a map and legal description of the Conservation Area. This map and description count as if they were written directly into the law, except the Secretary is allowed to fix minor errors in them. Both the map and legal description are kept on file for the public to view at the relevant Bureau of Land Management offices.
