16 U.S.C. § 471g — Administration, protection, and development; use of natural resources

The area designated as the Cradle of Forestry in America must be administered, protected, and developed by the Secretary of Agriculture as part of the Pisgah National Forest, following the laws, rules, and regulations that apply to national forests. The Secretary decides how to do this in whatever way, in the Secretary's judgment, best carries out the purposes described in sections 471f to 471h of this title — including how to manage, use, and dispose of natural resources there, as long as that management promotes or is compatible with, and doesn't significantly hurt, the purposes for which the Cradle of Forestry in America was created.
