16 U.S.C. § 590m — Execution of powers of Secretary by Production and Marketing Administration

The Secretary must arrange for the Production and Marketing Administration to exercise powers under specified sections when the Administration can appropriately do so. Its ordinary appointment and pay rules apply.
Despite the earlier provisions of this chapter, the Secretary must provide for the Production and Marketing Administration to exercise the powers given to the Secretary under sections 590g, 590h, 590i, and 590j through 590n when the Secretary considers those powers appropriate for the Administration to exercise. The laws governing appointment and pay of people employed by the Administration apply for this purpose.
Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of this chapter, the Secretary is authorized and directed to provide for the execution by the Production and Marketing Administration of such powers conferred upon him under sections 590g, 590h, 590i, and 590j to 590n of this title as he deems may be appropriately exercised by such Administration, and for such purposes the provisions of law applicable to the appointment and compensation of persons employed by the Production and Marketing Administration shall apply.
