This section sets rules about Savings provision. It states the duties, permissions, conditions, and exceptions in the provisions below.
Nothing in this part, or in any amendment made by this part, must be construed as affecting the authority or responsibility of the Secretary* of the Interior to award concessions contracts for the provision of accommodations, facilities, and services, or commercial use authorizations to provide services, to visitors to U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service refuges or units of the National Park System under subchapter II of chapter 1019 of title 54 (formerly known as the “National Park Service Concessions Management Improvement Act of 1998”), except that sections 8543(a), 8544, 8548(a), 8548(b), and 8548(c) of this title must also apply to commercial use authorizations under that Act.
