18 U.S.C. § 1305 — Fishing contests

This section excludes nonprofit fishing contests from this chapter. The contest must award prizes based on the species, size, weight, or quality of fish caught in a genuine fishing or recreational event.
The provisions of this chapter do not apply to a fishing contest that is not conducted for profit and awards prizes based on the species, size, weight, or quality of fish caught by contestants in a genuine fishing or recreational event.
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply with respect to any fishing contest not conducted for profit wherein prizes are awarded for the specie, size, weight, or quality of fish caught by contestants in any bona fide fishing or recreational event.
