This section defines "common carrier" for this chapter. The term covers locomotives, rail carriers, and sleeping car carriers. It also covers buses carrying interstate passengers, water common carriers, and air common carriers.
This section is a definitions section for this chapter. It defines "common carrier" to mean any of the following: a locomotive; a rail carrier; a sleeping car carrier; a bus that carries passengers in interstate commerce; a water common carrier; and an air common carrier.
As used in this chapter, the term “common carrier” means a locomotive, a rail carrier, a sleeping car carrier, a bus transporting passengers in interstate commerce, a water common carrier, and an air common carrier.
