2 U.S.C. § 2052 — Senate restaurant deficit fund; deposit of proceeds from surcharge on orders

The Senate Committee on Rules and Administration must add surcharges to orders served in Senate restaurants. The surcharge proceeds go into a fund to cover kitchen and restaurant deficits.
The Committee on Rules and Administration of the Senate must add at least 10 percent to every order costing more than 10 cents that is served in a Senate restaurant. It must add 20 percent to every order served outside the restaurants. The proceeds must be placed in a fund used to pay any deficit from operating those kitchens and restaurants.
The Committee on Rules and Administration of the United States Senate is authorized and directed hereafter to add a minimum of 10 per centum to each order in excess of 10 cents served in the Senate restaurants and 20 per centum to all orders served outside of said restaurants, and the proceeds accruing therefrom shall be placed in a fund to be used in the payment of any deficit incurred in the management of such kitchens and restaurants.
