Furniture or carpets for either chamber may be bought only with the required written order from the appropriate committee chair.
Furniture or carpets for the Senate may not be purchased without the written order of the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration's chair. Furniture or carpets for the House may not be purchased without the written order of the House Committee on House Oversight's chair.
No furniture or carpets for either House shall be purchased without the written order of the chairman of the Committee on Rules and Administration, for the Senate, or without the written order of the chairman of the Committee on House Oversight of the House of Representatives, for the House of Representatives.
