20 U.S.C. § 2105 — Limitations on contracts

Payments under this subchapter generally may not support research or training lasting more than two years, with a stated exception. The section also excludes specified costs and bars certain former Federal employees from assistance or trusteeship for two years.
(a) Time No payment is made under this subchapter to carry out any research or training over a period more than two years, except that with the concurrence of no fewer than two-thirds of the members of the Board* of the Center* that research or training can be carried out over a period of not more than five years.
(b) Items excluded Assistance under this subchapter must not cover the cost of land acquisition, construction, building acquisitions, or acquisition of major equipment.
(c) Former Government employees No individual formerly in the employment of the Federal Government is eligible to receive any assistance under this subchapter, or to serve as a trustee of the Center in the two-year period following the termination of that employment.
No payment shall be made pursuant to this subchapter to carry out any research or training over a period in excess of two years, except that with the concurrence of at least two-thirds of the members of the Board* of the Center* such research or training may be carried out over a period of not to exceed five years.
Assistance pursuant to this subchapter shall not cover the cost of land acquisition, construction, building acquisitions, or acquisition of major equipment.
No individual formerly in the employment of the Federal Government shall be eligible to receive any assistance pursuant to this subchapter, or to serve as a trustee of the Center in the two-year period following the termination of such employment.
