20 U.S.C. § 3510 — Transitional provisions

This section allows the Secretary to use transferred departments’ and agencies’ personnel and funds for as long as reasonably needed to put the chapter into operation in an orderly way. The appropriate department or agency head must consent.
With the consent of the appropriate department* or agency head concerned, the Secretary* is authorized to use the services of such officers, employees, and other personnel of the departments and agencies from which functions or offices have been transferred to the Secretary or the Department, and funds appropriated to such functions or offices for such period of time as may reasonably be needed to facilitate the orderly implementation of this chapter.
