The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is officially the only national memorial to President Kennedy allowed within Washington, D.C. and its surrounding area.
This section declares that the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, as established by this subchapter, is the sole national memorial to the late President John Fitzgerald Kennedy within the city of Washington and its surrounding area.
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, designated by this subchapter, shall be the sole national memorial to the late John Fitzgerald Kennedy within the city of Washington and its environs.
