20 U.S.C. § 807 — Definitions; authorization of appropriations for administrative and other expenses

This section defines “State” and “Secretary” for this chapter and authorizes money for administrative and other expenses.
(a) “State” means a United States State, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, or the Virgin Islands. “Secretary” means the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. (b) Congress may appropriate whatever sums are necessary for administrative and other expenses under this chapter.
As used in this chapter the term “State” means any State of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, and the Virgin Islands; and the term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
There are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary for administrative and other expenses in carrying out this chapter.
