The Philippine Trade Act of 1946 does not apply while the revised agreement is in effect. Two specified categories of provisions are excluded from that suspension.
The Philippine Trade Act of 1946 [22 U.S.C. § 1251 et seq.] does not apply while the revised agreement is in effect, except for section 506(a) [22 U.S.C. § 1356] concerning ending payments into the Philippine Treasury, and except for amendments and repeals made by that Act.
The Philippine Trade Act of 1946 [22 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.] (except section 506(a) of this title [22 U.S.C. 1356] relating to termination of payments into Philippine Treasury, and except amendments and repeals made by such Act) shall not apply during such time as the revised agreement is in effect.
