Peace Corps expenses should, when possible, be paid in the local currency where they occur.
Whenever possible, expenses for carrying out this chapter's functions must be paid in the currency of the country or area where the expense occurs, using currency available to the United States*.
Whenever possible, expenditures incurred in carrying out functions under this chapter shall be paid for in such currency of the country or area where the expense is incurred as may be available to the United States*.
