22 U.S.C. § 254b — Privileges and immunities of mission of nonparty to Vienna Convention

This law covers countries that haven't joined the Vienna Convention. Their diplomatic missions still get the privileges and immunities the Convention grants. This includes mission staff, their families, and diplomatic couriers.
Some countries have not joined the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations. This law says that even for those countries, their diplomatic mission to the United States still gets the same privileges and immunities the Vienna Convention lays out. That protection covers the mission itself, everyone who works there, their families, and the diplomatic couriers who carry official mail.
With respect to a nonparty to the Vienna Convention, the mission, the members of the mission, their families, and diplomatic couriers shall enjoy the privileges and immunities specified in the Vienna Convention.
