22 U.S.C. § 262r–6 — Reports on policies, operations, and management of international financial institutions

(a) Repealed by Public Law 108–199, division D, title V, section 599B(c), January 23, 2004, 118 Stat. 211. (b) Annual report on United States supported policies Starting 180 days after this Act's enactment (November 6, 2000) or October 31, 2000, whichever is later, and every October 31 after that, the Secretary must report to the appropriate congressional committees on: (1) what recipient countries have done, using assistance the multilateral development banks gave them under programs referred to in section 802(b), to strengthen governance and cut down on bribery and corruption; and (2) how International Development Association-financed projects help a representative sample of countries eventually stop relying on low-cost financing and international development assistance. (c) Omitted. (d) Report on debt relief Within 90 days after this Act's enactment (November 6, 2000), the Secretary must report to the appropriate congressional committees on the history of debt relief programs led by, or coordinated with, international financial institutions, covering at least: (1) how much poor countries and the poorest of the poor benefit from debt relief, with measurable evidence; and (2) how much debt relief helps a country stop relying on low-cost financing and international development assistance.
