This law lets the Treasury Secretary contribute over $565 million for multilateral debt relief. The money funds debt-relief costs the Association incurred during its 17th replenishment period. Congress authorizes the same amount for the Treasury to pay.

(a) The Secretary of the Treasury may contribute, for the United States, up to $565,020,000 to the International Development Association. This pays for debt relief costs under the Multilateral Debt Relief Initiative that came up during the period covered by the Association's seventeenth replenishment of resources. This is subject to Congress appropriating the money, and doesn't affect any funding arrangements already in place as of December 16, 2014. (b) To pay for this contribution, Congress authorizes up to $565,020,000, with no fiscal-year limit, for the Secretary of the Treasury to pay. (c) In this section, "Multilateral Debt Relief Initiative" means the plan set out in the G8 Finance Ministers' "Conclusions on Development" communique from London, June 11, 2005, which G8 heads of state reaffirmed at the Gleneagles Summit on July 8, 2005.
