22 U.S.C. § 9807 — Biennial reports and congressional consultation

(a) Biennial reports. No later than 2 years after the plans required by section 9805 of this title are submitted, and every 2 years after that until 10 years after those plans were submitted, the President, the Secretary of State, the USAID Administrator, the Secretary of Defense, and the heads of other relevant federal departments and agencies must jointly submit an unclassified report to the appropriate congressional committees^*. The report may include a classified annex. It must describe progress made and lessons learned in implementing the Global Fragility Strategy established under section 9803 of this title. The report must include—(1) descriptions of steps taken to include the strategy in relevant existing country and regional plans or strategies; (2) accounts of all funding received and obligated to carry out each country and regional plan during the previous 2 years and, as far as feasible, projections of funding to be requested, planned, and used during the following 2 years; (3) descriptions of progress toward specific targets, metrics, and indicators for each priority country and region; and (4) descriptions of changes made to programs based on assessment, monitoring, and evaluation results for each priority country and region. (b) Congressional consultation. The Secretary of State, the USAID Administrator, and the Secretary of Defense must brief an appropriate congressional committee about implementation of this chapter when that committee requests a briefing.
