25 U.S.C. § 1678 — Arizona as contract health service delivery area

This section designates Arizona as a contract health service delivery area and protects specified reservation health services from reductions caused by that designation.
(a) Arizona is designated as a contract health service* delivery area by the Service* to provide contract health care to members of Indian tribes in Arizona. (b) The Service may not reduce health care services for Indians living on reservations in Arizona when the reduction is caused by providing contract services under that designation.
The State of Arizona shall be designated as a contract health service* delivery area by the Service* for the purpose of providing contract health care services to members of Indian tribes in the State of Arizona.
The Service shall not curtail any health care services provided to Indians residing on reservations in the State of Arizona if the curtailment is due to the provision of contract services in that State pursuant to the designation of the State as a contract health service delivery area by subsection (a).
