25 U.S.C. § 318a — Roads on Indian reservations; appropriation

This section authorizes money for building and maintaining roads on Indian reservations. Money in the Treasury that hasn't already been appropriated elsewhere can be used for materials, equipment, supervision, engineering, and hiring Indian labor. This money goes toward surveying, improving, building, and maintaining roads on Indian reservations. This funding only applies to roads that are not eligible for aid under the Federal Highway Act, and for which no other appropriation is already available. The Secretary of the Interior prescribes the rules and regulations that govern how this money is used.
