25 U.S.C. § 4044 — Reconciliation report

By May 31, 1996, the Secretary^* must send Congress’s two specified committees a report identifying, for each tribal trust-fund account under the Secretary’s responsibility, a balance reconciled as of September 30, 1995. The Secretary must consult the Special Trustee^*. The report must include: (1) the method used to reconcile accounts; (2) each account holder’s statement either that the Secretary gave as full and complete an accounting as possible to the earliest possible date and the holder accepts the reconciled balance, or that the holder disputes the balance and explains why; and (3) for each disputed balance, the Secretary’s statement of planned efforts to resolve the dispute.
