This section disregards a transaction when a principal purpose of the transaction is to avoid liability under this chapter. The liability is then imposed as if the transaction had not been used to avoid it.
If a principal purpose of any transaction is to evade or avoid liability under this chapter, this chapter must be applied (and such liability must be imposed) without regard to such transaction.
