The Court of Federal Claims may decide a disbursing officer’s claim for relief from responsibility for an on-duty loss of government money or records in the officer’s charge.
The Court of Federal Claims may decide and enter judgment on a claim by a United States disbursing officer, or the officer’s administrator or executor, seeking relief from responsibility for an in-line-of-duty loss of government funds, vouchers, records, or other papers in the officer’s charge.
The United States Court of Federal Claims shall have jurisdiction to render judgment upon any claim by a disbursing officer of the United States or by his administrator or executor for relief from responsibility for loss, in line of duty, of Government funds, vouchers, records or other papers in his charge.
