An affidavit required from the United States under this chapter may rely on information and belief when that reliance is reliable and reasonably necessary. The affidavit must give the supporting facts in particular detail to the court’s satisfaction.
Any affidavit required of the United States by this chapter may be done on information and belief, if reliable and reasonably necessary, establishing with particularity, to the court’s satisfaction, facts supporting the claim of the United States.
