28 U.S.C. § 362 — Other provisions and rules not affected

This section makes sure this chapter doesn't accidentally override other laws or court rules. Unless this chapter clearly and expressly says otherwise, nothing in it should be read to change: any other provision of this title (Title 28); the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure; the Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure; or the Federal Rules of Evidence. In short, this chapter stands on its own and leaves those other rules and laws untouched, except where it specifically says it changes them.
