29 U.S.C. § 1395 — Plan notification to corporation of potentially significant withdrawals

This section allows the corporation to require a multiemployer plan sponsor to report withdrawals that significantly reduce total employer contributions.
By regulation, the corporation may require a multiemployer plan* sponsor to notify the corporation when an employer’s withdrawal has caused, or will cause, a significant reduction in the plan’s total contributions from employers.
The corporation may, by regulation, require the plan sponsor of a multiemployer plan* to provide notice to the corporation when the withdrawal from the plan by any employer has resulted, or will result, in a significant reduction in the amount of aggregate contributions under the plan made by employers.
