Beginning in fiscal year 2001, Labor has an Office of Disability Employment Policy led by an Assistant Secretary to develop leadership, policy, initiatives, and grants aimed at removing training and employment barriers for people with disabilities.
Beginning in fiscal year 2001, the Department of Labor has an Office of Disability Employment Policy. Under the Secretary’s overall direction, it must provide leadership, develop policy and initiatives, and award grants that advance eliminating barriers to training and employment for people with disabilities. An Assistant Secretary heads the office.
Beginning in fiscal year 2001, there is established in the Department of Labor an office of disability employment policy which shall, under the overall direction of the Secretary, provide leadership, develop policy and initiatives, and award grants furthering the objective of eliminating barriers to the training and employment of people with disabilities. Such office shall be headed by an Assistant Secretary.
