The section authorizes up to $5 million for geothermal-resource loans in fiscal year 1981 and up to $20 million in each of the next four fiscal years. The money goes into the Geothermal Resources Development Fund and remains available until spent.
Congress authorizes appropriations for loans under this subchapter of no more than $5,000,000 for fiscal year 1981 and no more than $20,000,000 for each of the next four fiscal years. The appropriated money must be deposited in the Geothermal Resources Development Fund for this subchapter and remains available for those purposes until spent.
There are hereby authorized to be appropriated for loans under this subchapter not to exceed $5,000,000 for fiscal year 1981, and not to exceed $20,000,000 for each of the four succeeding fiscal years. Amounts so appropriated shall be deposited in the Geothermal Resources Development Fund for purposes of this subchapter, and shall remain available for such purposes until expended.
