This section gives the chapter its short title and defines “research” and “Secretary.”
(a) This chapter may be called the “Coal Research and Development Act of 1960.” (b) In this chapter: (1) “Research” means scientific, technical, and economic research and the practical use of that research. (2) “Secretary” means the Secretary of Energy.
This chapter may be cited as the “Coal Research and Development Act of 1960”.
In this chapter:
The term “research” means scientific, technical, and economic research and the practical application of that research.
The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Energy.
