This section requires the Secretary to give a person whose benefits claim is denied a written explanation and a hearing-record summary, or a transcript when good cause is shown.
Any individual whose claim for benefits under this subchapter is denied must receive from the Secretary a written statement of the reasons for denial of that claim, and a summary of the administrative hearing record or, upon good cause shown, a copy of any transcript of it.
